The project is here: https://github.com/marstonstudio/crossUserMedia
I'd like to compress the audio at the client before uploading to the server. My ideal would be to compress the raw PCM data to AAC and add the headers to make an MP4 file. I've read through the examples and compiled them in my local environment. But I'm new to C programming and exploring Crossbridge.io for the first time.
Has anybody tried to convert FAAC ( http://sourceforge.net/projects/faac/ ) or FDK-AAC ( https://github.com/mstorsjo/fdk-aac ) or another AAC encoder to be compatible with crossbridge.io? The opus codec would also be of interest as an alternative ( https://github.com/xiph/opus )
What I'm imagining is a SWC dependency that can be included in different projects. Input would be a PCM ByteArray, output would be an AAC encoded ByteArray.
Optimistic that this could be an asset that would be beneficial to other people in the community as well
Thanks for any ideas/pointers
